The test appts. locks plug connectors (E', E") at each end of the cable (D). A battery-resistor series circuit is provided between connections (1, 2) at one end of the cable. Adjacent pairs of uneven numbered connections (3 and 5) and adjacent pairs of even numbered connections (4 and 6) are connected at the respective plugs. A light emitting diode is provided at one edge at one end of the cable.
