The equipment encloses an oblong production track with machine cellar at the side, being particularly for a rotary printing press with cellar used to change paper rolls. A sound-insulating wall (11) and ceiling for the cellar (8) run along the side of the machine. The ceiling is divided into a set of soundproofing components (14-17), sliding in two or more horizontal planes one above the other, locked in a cruciform pattern when shut so as to form gastight joints. The seals for the vertical joints are broken to allow opening of the ceiling for part of its length.
