METHOD OF OBTAINING A SORBENT

A method of obtaining a sorbent from a natural, mineral raw material, such as the crushed shell of fruit kernals and nuts, consists of impregnating the shell with a solution of sodium chloride up to a content of 0.05 to 1.25 % wt., carbonization under a continuous temperature rise from 300 to 600 DEG C in a pyrogas atmosphere, and activation of the carbonizate by steam. The method provides a carbon trimer with carbon microcrystalline structure elements, having good structural sorption characteristics.
