<p>A fluorescent display device of highly bright light emission adapted to a large-screen display. The device comprises a plurality of phosphor segments (13) to which a high voltage will be applied, a cathode (K), a plurality of control electrodes (G2) arranged to correspond to the segments (13), and a common electron beam take-up means (G1) arranged between the cathode (K) and the control electrodes (G2) to correspond to the plurality of segments (13R, 13G, 13B), wherein the voltages of the control electrodes (G2) are controlled so that the segments (13) emit light selectively. Therefore, crosstalk does not develop, and the electrodes are formed all in the form of flat plates, thus contributing to simplifying the structure.</p> |
