<p>A method for recovery of printing ink wastes is provided which greatly minimizes disposal pollution problems while permitting formulation of usable ink products. The method involves first creating a flowable stream of the ink wastes in line (52), and directing this stream to a hydroheater (16) to unite with incoming stream from line (64) at the hydroheater inlet (92). In the hydroheater (16), the ink wastes are subjected to elevated temperatures and pressures, and intense shear, creating a homogeneous, flowable product leaving via output end (96). The flowable product is then directed through pipe (98) to a blow down chamber (106) from which extends a product line (110).</p> |
