The apparatus comprises a microcomputer for control of the whole system, a burner temperature sensor, an evaporator duct temperature sensor, a blow motor drive for driving a blower to supply air for combustion in the burner, a fan motor drive for forced circulation of room air, a drive for driving a fan to prevent red heat in the evaporator duct, a display for showing the operational states of the drives and a red heat state in the duct, an igniter, and an electronic fuel pump for burner. When the evaporator duct sensor detects a red heat in the duct from combustion in the burner, the signal for the red heat is given to the microcomputer for its control to drive the red heat preventive fan to keep the duct temperature from rising further.
