PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a protection window for high energy radiation and neutron rays in a short time, by performing casting between an optical unit and a frame, and filling hardenable material. SOLUTION: The optical unit of a window 1 is composed of glass sheets 2-6, and each glass sheet has a composition protecting for the high energy radiation ofγtype and neutrons. In addition, a frame 7 has a stage 8 on the entire circumference, the window 1 is exactly suitable for an opening part of a wall by mutually combining the stage 8 and a stage having the wall, and complete protection is given. When the optical unit and the frame 7 are assembled, hardenable concrete 14 is cast into a space between them after the optical unit is fitted to the frame 7. The space is filled with the concrete 14 before hardening from fluidity, hoop stress of the concrete 14 is applied on the optical unit during hardening, and the space between the optical unit and the frame 7 is completely filled. As a result, the window 1 for protection for the high energy radiation and the like can be manufactured in a short time.
