The bag (10) made of flexible textile (16) has an opening (12) along the two edges (18, 20) of which is fixed one strip (22, 24) of a sliding clasp fastener. Each edge is reinforced by an identical, wire stiffening-strap (32) near the sliding-clasp fastener strips. Each strap consists of an elongated middle part (34) from the ends of which are arms bent almost at right angles (36) so as to produce an almost rectangular opening when the bag is open. The stiffening strap is contained in a folded-over hemmed strip (38) sewn together with the two sliding-clasp fastener strips with the bag-material. USE/ADVANTAGE - When open the bag, for example for cosmetics, writing-materials, money etc., has a clearly defined opening produced by a stiffening strap.
