PURPOSE:To expand the range of original application by employing two systems, a sub scan system reading an original by moving it with an optical system unit stopped and that reading it by moving the above-mentioned unit with the original placed on an original steady table. CONSTITUTION:Optical system unit 1 consists of fluorescent lamp 2, lens system 4 and photoelectric converting element 5. Original 25 is set being sandwiched between set plate 20' and original stop plate 22. In original set plate 27. Here, a selection switch selects either one of two read modes. In orginal steady read mode, optical unit 1 takes a sub scan between X and Y to read the original and in original moving read mode, original conveyance mechanism 26 is put into operation to move and read the original. Thus, general transmitted original 33 is set plate 27 and special original 25 such as a thin original is set by set plate 20' for transmission, so that applicability for originals will remarkably improve. |
