<p>Use of compounds of general formula (I), wherein R1 and R2 are methyl or hydrogen, R3 is: cyclohexyl, cyclohexenyl, or phenyl substituted in the para position, R4 is hydrogen, carboxy alkoxycarbonyl, optionally mono- or plurisubstituted, all three R5 groups are hydrogen or methyl; X is oxygen or imino; and Y is a direct bond or a group -CONHCH(CH3)-; and wherein the carbon atom bridging X and Y may be in the L- or D-configuration, and derivatives thereof for treating plants in the fields of agri- and horticulture, especially as fungicides. The compounds are producible by cultivation of a strain of the fungus Curvularia sp., or Septoria sp., and optional chemical modification. The compounds may also be used for controlling fungi in the preservation of wood, paints, cosmetics, and edible products.</p> |
