STOCK SOLUTION OF SUCRALFATE SUSPENDED IN WATER AND PRODUCTION THEREOF.

A stock solution comprising an aqueous suspension containing 1 to 2 g/ml of sucralfate particles with a mean diameter of 50 Al or less, which is used for producing sucralfate preparations; and a process for producing said stock solution which comprises dispersing wet sucralfate powder as such in water or an aqueous medium and disintegrating the dispersed powder into particles with a mean diameter of 50 Al or less. The stock solution thus obtained directly from the wet sucralfate powder has properties and pharmacological activities comparable to those of the stock solution obtained from dried sucralfate powder. This wet process is an excellent industrial process because it is excellent in profitability and workability and is reduced in the problem of envrionmental pollution as compared with the conventional dry process.
