<p>The joining, of two medium-voltage cables, involves a connector connecting the cores of the cables, inside a joint body, which is itself covered by a conducting tubular screen-continuity element in turn covered by a shrinkable protective jacket. The joint is characterised in that the shrinkable protective jacket extends, on either side, beyond the ends of the conducting tubular element (20) and of the joint body (17), and advantageously forms part of the said joint body and the said shrinkable protective jacket (21, 22) has a premounted joint-assembly (30), and in that each cable is equipped with a screen tap (take-off) (14, 15) mounted on the stripped screen of each cable and including an external conducting means (42) forming a rigid tube receiving the said tubular element pressed against it by the said shrinkable protective jacket. <IMAGE></p> |
