PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD HOLE COORDINATES SAMPLING DEVICE & METHOD

The method obtains images atomatically inputted through a camera to extract the accurate coordinates of the holes in the PCB bear board. The PCB bear board (11) is attached to a PCB carrier shaft (13) provided between a slit lighting (14) and a line CCD camera (15), the board (11) being fixed to the shaft by a fixing member (12) to be moved by a motor (16). The camera (15) captures the image of the hole in the board (11) lighted by the beam from the light (14) for the hole image signal to be A/D converted into digital image signal through an image gaining member (17). The obtained digital image data is stored in a memory (18) and also is given to an X and Y coordinate data extracter (20) for finding the coordinates of the hole position to be stored in a data base storage (22) and verified by the eyes on a monitor.
