PURPOSE:To obtain the subject food and drink by simple operation in a short time from a fraction as a raw material, prepared by dissolving animal fats and oils in a mixed solvent system, feeding the solution to a chromatography separating device of pseudo-mobile bed type to give an animal fat and oil fraction from which cholesterol is eliminated and removing the organic solvents. CONSTITUTION:Animal fats and oils (e.g. lard or beef tallow) are dissolved in a mixed solvent system (e.g. mixed solvent comprising, hexane, ethanol and water), fed to a fractionation chromatographic device of pseudo-mobile bed type, fractionated into an animal fat and oil fraction from which cholesterol is removed and a cholesterol-containing fraction, the organic solvent is removed from the animal fat and oil fraction reduced in cholesterol and the fraction from which the organic solvent is removed is used as a raw material to give the objective food and drink (e.g. dairy products or raw material for dairy products). |
