This device is intended for transferring component holders or "swing-trays" (S) between juxtaposed strands (sides), which are movable in opposite directions from each other, of a conveyor driven in a continuous movement; it takes its movement from the conveyor itself by means of an entrainment or drive wheel (10) keyed on a shaft (7) and which carries a plurality of radial arms (12) ending in engagement members (17) which engage with stationary cam guides (5 and 4), so that the movement of the transfer device is perfectly synchronised with the movement of the conveyor. <IMAGE>
