PURPOSE:To detect that a residual amount of tape reaches to a prescribed value so as to dispense with a wiring provided onto a part feeder by a method wherein light rays from a reflection type sensor are made to be reflected by a reflecting plate when the diameter of a tape roll reaches to a certain value. CONSTITUTION:A reflection-type sensor 90 which detects the residual amount of a tape 18 wound on a tape reel 70 is installed on a mounting plate 89 fixed to an upper cover on an electronic component automatic mounting device main body. When light emitted from a projector is reflected by a reflection plate 91 installed on a cassette main body to impinge on the sensor 90, it indicates that the residual amount of the tape 18 reaches to a prescribed value (run out), and when light does not impinge on the sensor 90, it indicates that light is blocked by the tape 18. A brake mechanism 83 prevents that a space between side plates 70A and 70B becomes gradually smaller to prevent light emitted from a projector from impinging on the tape 18 or the reflection plate 91 as the tape reel 70 is pressed by a pressing member 84. |
