PURPOSE:To enhance the efficiency in decomposing malodorous components and to allow the deodorizer to exert a sufficient deodorizing effect by forming the deodorizer with an adsorbent and a catalyst. CONSTITUTION:A tubular deodorant 25 is provided to surround a defrosting heater 24. The deodorant 25 is formed with an adsorbent 26 consisting of alumina and a catalyst 27 consisting of platinum. The adsorbent 26 and the catalyst 27 are combined so that the desorption temp. of the malodorous component of the adsorbent 26 is made equal to or higher than the oxidative decomposition temp. of the malodorous component of the catalyst 27. Consequently, the malodorous component is oxidized and decomposed by the catalyst 27 when the malodorous component is desorbed from the adsorbent 26 heated by the heater 24, and the malodorous component desorbed from the absorbent 26 is completely decomposed and discharged. |
