PURPOSE:To change tone quality according to a performing method such as melody execution of code execution in the electronic musical instrument in a plural channel synthesizing/waveform reading system. CONSTITUTION:A keying number count part 109 always counts the number of times for keying within time. A control part 102 instructs a reading part 105 to read the waveform data of a waveform storage part 103 for all the times for keying and on the other hand, the waveform data of a waveform storage part 104 are not read unless the number of times for keying within the unit time exceeds a fixed value. Thus, in the case of the melody rendition, the tone quality of only the waveform storage part 103 is generated and in the case of the code execution, that of the waveform storage part 104 is mixed. Therefore, the musical expressivity of the electronic musical instrument is improved. |
