TIME CONTROL SYSTEM FOR LAN

PURPOSE:To reduce the load of a network caused by a time control and to accurately set the time of each terminal clock to a reference time. CONSTITUTION:A time from a prescribed time to a fixed time within a LAN is defined as a non-communication period. A time communication control device 103 monitoring whether communication data is transmitted to a transmission line 101 within the non-communication period or not and transmitting the time information on a reference time to the transmission line only when the communication data is detected within the non-communication period is accommodated within the LAN. Further, a terminal 102 is provided with a switch 114 interrupting the transmission when an incorporated clock 112 shows the non- communication period and a clock control part 116 correcting the time of the incorporated clock when time information from the time communication control device 103 is received.
