PURPOSE:To automatically switch the transmitted image of the video telephone system according to a call originating number, call incoming number or whether a holding state exists or not. CONSTITUTION:A user registers the phone number of a party allowing video transmission from a camera part 15 from an operating part 20 onto a phone number storage part 22 beforehand. Next, when a call informing a caller number is incoming from a communication line 11, it is reported to a central processing part 21 by a phone number comparator part 23 whether the caller number supplied through a line interface part 12 is coincident with the number registered on the phone number storage part 22 or not and only when the number is coincident, the central processing part 21 executes control to execute video transmission from the camera part 15. |
