PURPOSE:To obtain stable cleaning by making the toner amount of a toner image on a non-image area different from the toner amount of the toner image on another area. CONSTITUTION:At the time of rotating forth, electrostatically charging bias is simultaneously impressed on a primary electrostatic charger 2 so that the surface of an image carrier 1 is electrostatically charged, and during this time an LED array eliminating charge is turned off for 2t seconds at a part corresponding to a paper feeding roller feeding a transferring material from a transferring material storage part such as a cassette, and for (t) seconds at another part. Therefore, the toner image having a part in which the length of the part equivalent to the paper feeding roller is long is formed on the non-image area at the time of rotating forth, and the toner image is carried to a cleaning part as it is, it hereafter contributes to the maintenance of suitable rubbing cleaning function, and also much more toner is supplied to the part of the following transferring material corresponding to the paper feeding roller than another part. Consequently, the damage of the image carrier and the fault of the image at the part corresponding to the paper feeding roller are prevented from occurring. |
