<p>PURPOSE:To provide a fixing device including separation pawl contacting/ separating constitution which is simple as a fixing device in which a paper feeding means is provided so that it can be released and restricted with respect to a roller in order to perform jamming processing in the case of fixing an image at a process where paper is allowed to pass between a pair of rollers, and a separation pawl is provided at a part of the paper feeding means and pressed so that it may come in contact with the roller on the ejection side of the roller under the state where the paper feeding means is released. CONSTITUTION:A shrinking elastic means 12 is used as a means for performing forcible separating action so that the tip of the separation pawl 7 is forcibly separated from a fixing roller 2 according to the releasing action of the paper feeding means when it is released, and the tip of the pawl 7 is restored to a state where it comes in contact with the roller 2 when the paper feeding means is restored to the restricted state before it is released; and the separating action is performed by utilizing force in a direction nearly perpendicular to the ordinary shrinking direction of the elastic means 12.</p> |
