According to the invention, this device is characterised in that it includes at least one small plate (31) made of a leaktight and transparent plastic, which can be produced by moulding, in which a set of light sources (35) is embedded, the beam (37) output by each source being received by at least one cell (36), also embedded in the small plate, the sources and the cells being mutually arranged in such a relation with respect to an associated element (17) in the cluster, that the light beam coming from a source is partly intercepted by this element before being received by the cell, the sources (35) and the cells (36) being associated with screens (42) forming masks, the signal provided being processed so as to measure, with reference to a defined threshold, any variation in position of this element.
