<p>PURPOSE:To prevent transfer staining from occurring or a wrinkle from appearing on a sheet by moving a guide plate with a pressure roller and guiding the sheet at the time of fixing a transferred image on the sheet. CONSTITUTION:In a fixing device, the pressure roller 25 is movably supported in a direction nearly perpendicular to the carrying direction of the sheet and pressed by a spring 28 so as to abut on a heating roller 26. The guide plate 29 is movably supported in the direction nearly perpendicular to the carrying direction of the sheet on this side of the rollers 25 and 26 and pressed by a spring 30 in a reverse direction to the pressing direction of the roller 25 so as to abut on the roller 25. Then, the sheet 17 is guided by the guide plate 29 and allowed to pass between the rollers 25 and 26, so that the transferred image is fixed. Even when the thickness of the sheet 17 is changed, the guide plate 29 is moved together with the roller 25.</p> |
