CONTROLLER FOR DISTANCE-BETWEEN-CARS

PURPOSE:To improve the safety and to reduce the burden of brakes in the controller for distance-between-cars. CONSTITUTION:A controller 12 calculates the driving amount of an actuator and the target throttle opening of an automatic brake mechanism 11 based on the output of a sensor for distance-betweencars 12 and the output of a car speed sensor 14 to control the brake and throttle. In the case the vehicle is in danger, the throttle can be made '0' as soon as stepping on the automatic brake to improve the braking, resulting in improving the safety. The distance between cars can be widened by controlling the throttle, resulting in reducing the burden of brakes.
