<p>PURPOSE:To prevent run-away or malfunction disconnecting an internal fault part when the internal unit of the microcomputer generates any fault. CONSTITUTION:The microcomputer equipped with plural internal units is provided with a test circuit 100 to test an internal unit 200 and a disconnection instructing means to instruct the disconnection only of the relevant unit from the other unit when this test means 100 detects any abnormality, and an invalid value input/output function to output and input an invalid value while controlling the invalid value by controlling an input/output control circuit based on the instruction of the instructing means by the internal unit 200. Since the fault internal unit is functionally disconnected from the other internal unit, the malfunction or run-away can be prevented without stopping a system.</p> |
