PURPOSE:To obtain the roller coated with a tube having excellent durability of adhesion by subjecting the inside wall of a fluororesin tube to an etching treatment. CONSTITUTION:The inside surface of the fluororesin tube 5 is subjected to an etching treatment by sputtering. The recessed parts on the inside surface of the fluororesin tube 5 formed by sputter etching are not changed by heat and light with lapse of time. The tube may be thereafter chemically etched by immersing the tube into an etching liquid. The fluororesin tube subjected to the etching treatment is used on the outer periphery of an elastic roller 4, by which the roller 1 is formed. Then, the primer infiltrating the recessed parts on the inside surface of the fluororesin tube 5 or the liquid rubber forming the elastic material layer 3 is increased in the contact area with the fluororesin tube 5. In addition, the tube and the roller are meshed with each other and are, therefore, securely adhered. The recessed parts on the inside wall of the fluororesin tube 5 formed by the sputter etching are not changed by the heat and light with lapse of time and, therefore, the life of the roller 1 is greatly prolonged. |
