PURPOSE:To provide the graphic display device which can perform highspeed graphic display operation. CONSTITUTION:A display control part 7 which generates a write enabling signal 8 in picture element units is added to a graphic display system equipped with a CPU 1, a font memory 2 stored with the fonts of characters and figures, a frame memory 3 wherein data to be displayed at a display part 4 are written, a CPU bus where data and addresses which can be accessed by the CPU 1 are arranged, and an address conversion part 6 which converts the address of write data; and whether data are allowed to be written in the frame memory 3 or not is controlled in the picture element units with the write enabling signal 8 generated by the display control part 7 according to the specification of a write enabled area to write the data. |
