PURPOSE:To prevent generation of glaring light by preventing a step difference from being generated in a junction part between upper/lower part reflecting surfaces of a reflecting mirror, in a headlamp for a vehicle of obtaining low beam light distribution without providing a hood in the conventional filament. CONSTITUTION:A lower half part reflecting surface 21 of a reflecting mirror 2 is set to a rotary parabolic surface of positioning a focal point 0 to 1mm before from the front end of a low beam filament 4, and an upper half part reflecting surface 22 is set to an elliptic parabolic surface represented by an expression (where: Fx-(1+2)<=FySFx-I, Fx is focal distance of lower half part reflecting surface 21 and I is length of low beam filament 4), and further to form a headlamp 1 for a vehicle with respective vertexes P21, P22 in agreement of the upper/lower half part reflecting surfaces 21, 22. In this way, a problem can be solved by generating no step difference in a junction surface. |
