The system is used for unloading a container (1) from a goods vehicle (2). It is provided with a lifting mechanism (3) with segments (4) movable relative to each other. The container consists of a base unit (5) and a cover (6) with corner fittings (7) and holes (31) for the attachment of lifting hooks. The container is deposited on the ground behind the vehicle, and its cover can be removed with the aid of corner posts (14) to give ready access to the load being transported. USE/ADVANTAGE - Container system with a displaceable cover which is easily fitted on and removed from goods vehicle.
