The interconnection system includes a generator to produce a numbered signal to indicate that a data set exists in one computer unit for transmission to another unit. The receiving unit has selectors which select the next data set as the priority set in a number of sets in a given numerical sequence. The receiving unit also has selectors to select a data set other than the next set so that it can control the data transmission sequence. Pref. the receiving unit also has circuits to identify the next numbered signal for all other units and circuits to compare all the next in sequence signals to decide priority between them.
