STUFFING BOX LEAK DETECTOR The invention is a wellhead stuffing box leak detector including a split-ring adapter which is installed between the stuffing box and the stuffing box cover. The leak detector functions to contain liquids which leak out of the well through the stuffing box and diverts the leakage via an overflow tube to a clear fluid reservoir. The fluid reservoir is provided with a float that moves upward when the fluid level in the fluid reservoir rises, thus activating a switch which can be used to trigger an alarm or to turn motors or engines on or off.
