The lower part of the door sill (11) pressing has a reinforcing pressing (12) welded over it. Support brackets (23) welded to the reinforcing pressing have studs (21), which grip keyhole holes in the running board supports (2). The lower edge of the supports locate on flanges (20) welded to the lower part of the cill. The running board is fitted with a support flange which has upright sections at each end, and with the ends turned over to fit over the mountings. The system is simple to retrofit and can be removed when not required. ADVANTAGE - No costly fitting required eg. chassis mountings, strong support, simple to operate.
