On the feed table(16) is mounted a winch drum(30),round which the cable turns are firmly wound.At the guide rod ends are fitted clamps(26,28) for the top and bottom ends of the cable(24). The winding drum is pref.slidably mounted on the feed table.There may be fitted an arrangement for axial winding drum displacement sync. to its rotary motion. USE/ADVANTAGE - For earth boring work etc.,with low-cost design for large movement range of the feed table.
