The engine compartment for a vehicle includes a channel (18). It conducts a flow of air provided by a fan (17) and directed towards the exhaust manifold (15) and the leading side (14a) of the IC engine (14). The channel extends rearwards from a radiator (13) to a rear end (18f) of a lower section of the engine compartment, and an air outlet opening (12a) is formed at the end of the channel.
