Heat sink to dissipate the heat released by electric modules, e.g. razors, kitchen appliances and windscreen wiper drives, uses a latent heat store (1) between the heat emitting module (2) and the part (3) which is to be protected from overheating. The fusion point of the store agent lies between the working temp. of (2) and the max. permissible temp. of (3). Thermal insulation (4,5) surrounds them; their thickness ensures that the heat gradient is greater towards the latent heat store. The latter is pref. a salt hydrate or hydroxide hydrate.
