The control switch consists of a basically cylindrical support (2) mounted on the gear lever (L) below its knob (PO) and surrounded by a sliding/rotary control member (9) with lugs (10) which allow it to be operated e.g. by the first and second fingers of the hand on the gear lever. The control switch contains a position detector (4), e.g. in the form of a potentiometer, with a slider (13) which operates the parking brake via an actuator (E) and cables (24). The control member is held in the raised position by a rack (21) and pawl (6) mechanism which is released by rotating it. |
