Paper-making roller - has channels from U=shaped rails fitted to the roller mantle

The rollesr for papermaking machine, with a number of channels on the roller mantle, are formed by rails with a U-shaped profile, fixed to the roller mantle. The U-shaped rails are pref. double or multiple types and can be at an angle to the roller axis. The rails extend over part of the roller length, and at least part of the rails are subjected to suction over only part of the roller length. USE/ADVANTAGE - The roller is fitted to a papermaking machine, where channels are required along the roller axis. The channels formed by the rails, can be fitted according to the requirement, give a lower mfg. cost increase the variety of channel structures and can be replaced.
