Only functional units which are essential to buffer storage of received data are included in appts. featuring an interface unit (SSE) with a system interface (Sys) and data-processing interfaces (DV-PS,DV-SS), and a memory (SPE) for structured data to be transmitted. A display (AZ) is employed in communicating internal states to the user, and a control unit (STE) with a processor (PRO) is programmed to achieve connections in the communication system, and to transfer data between the memory and interface unit. USE/ADVANTAGE - Esp. in private communication systems, reception of data over the network is ensured with min. restriction on availability of, e.g. personal computer.
