Au is precision plated, e.g. in electronic, jewellery and other applicaitons, by immersing the article to be plated in a soln. to produce a coating thickness of 0.03-0.08 mm. The hardness is 24-38 ph and process cycle time is 5-15 min. at 75-100 deg.C. ADVANTAGE - Saving in Au usage, wear resistance is increased 3-4 times, short cycle time.
