The echo reduction system has a loudspeaker (15) connected to an output application unit (14). The sound detector has two units (11,12) spaced apart, and the outputs are passed to a processing unit (13) which detects amplitude and phase of the sound signals. the signals are applied to the application unit to provide a reduced echo sound output.
