To deploy the projection screen (13) in its holder (17c) after rotation of its cover (30) about a hinge (20), a catch (24) is released from a groove in the outer casing (10). The support (23) of a mirror-holder (18) is seated into another groove (22). Light (y) from a lamp is reflected (x) from the LCD mirror (16) to the projection lens (11) and after reflection from a fixed mirror (14) is redirected by the movable mirror (15) to the screen. For forward projection a separate screen is placed in front of the holder (17c). ADVANTAGE - Comfortably portable device with large screen suitable for either forward or back projection.
