<p>The present invention relatates a braking construction for use in a change-speed hub, said construction having: a fixed shaft (1); a hub body (2) rotatably mounted on the fixed shaft (1); a drive member (3) rotatably mounted on the fixed shaft (1) for transmitting a drive force to the hub body (2) selectively through a plurality of transmission channels; clutches (20), (92) for selecting one from the transmission channels; and a braking mechanism for releasing engagement between said drive member (3) and said hub body (2) through reverse rotation of said drive member (3) relative to a driving direction, said mechanism including a braking member (18) for braking rotataion of said hub body (2); characterized in that said releasing action of the engagement between said drive member (3) and said hub body (2) being effected through an interaction of a pluarlity of transmission claws supported to said drive member (3). <IMAGE></p> |
