PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To release a memory block and to effectively use an actual memory by substituting a data generating circuit for the contents of the actual memory corresponding to a virtual address space. SOLUTION: The actual memory which is allocated to listed-up memory spaces is released and made reusable by other programs. Then bit map data which are completed are set in a DMA controller 107 for print output. At this time, a DMA table is so set that the addresses assigned to the released memory are physical addresses and addresses of data generated by a data generating circuit 106, and then 0 (white data) generated by a data generating circuit instead of the released memory is read out by a DMA controller 107 and transferred to a laser driver 109, so that the same image data as a case wherein the memory is not released are sent to the laser driver.
