<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to recover a desulfurizing catalyst in a high yield >=70%, by allowing the desulfurizing catalyst contained in the waste soln. from desulfurization of a gas contg. H2S, HCN to be adsorbed on activated carbon, then by eluting the catalyst with warm alkaline aqueous soln. CONSTITUTION:A gas contg. H2S, HCN etc. is desulfurized by catalytic redox reaction, and the desulfurizing catalyst contained in the desulfurized waste soln. is allowed to be adsorbed on activated carbon. Then the catalyst is eluted with hot aqueous soln. of alkali and is reutilized as desulfurizing catalyst. For example, desulfurized waste soln. is led to a tank 1 for the desulfurized wast soln. and delivered by a pump P1 through a thickner 2 to an adsorption tower 3, where it is made to pass through activated carbon, hereby the desulfurizing catalyst is adsorbed by the activated carbon. Hot aqueous ammonia at 90-120 deg.C temp. is introduced to the adsorption tower 3 by a pump P2 by closing a valve V1 and by opening a valve V2, hereby the catalyst having been adsorbed by the activated carbon is eluted, and is delivered to an absorption tower in the direction of A and is reutilized.</p> |
