PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To significantly improve wavelength control accuracy of a frequency stabilizing device by substantially optically amplifying the amplitude of the optical signal received by means of a light receiving device by using a locally oscillating optical signal. SOLUTION: An external modulator 2 amplitude-modulates light to be modulated selected from among light rays emitted from a plurality of light sources LD1-LDn, by means of an optical switch 1 and a dispersion generator 3 gives wavelength dependence to the delay time from the reception of the amplitude- modulated optical signal to the output of the signal. Then, after a photoelectric conversion section 4 mixes a locally oscillated optical signal outputted from the section 4 itself in the optical signal outputted from the generator 3, a light receiving device 8 having a nonlinear characteristic between the input optical signal and output electrical signal performs photoelectric conversion on the mixed signal, and controls the wavelength of the modulated light outputted from the light source, so that the phase difference of the optical signal outputted from the generator 3 becomes a prescribed reference value. |
