Control of pen operations applicable in drawing devices like plotters or pen recorders, characterised in that the durations of effective pen operation are summed up and memorized also during periodical switch off of power supply, by using the known electronic adder with memory which engages in the known electronic system for control of the pen operation, while the known memory adder is functionally linked with the known element zeroing time of operation during pen replacement.
