PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an index suitable to read for an operator by suppressing appearance position information outputted to a word or phrase to be the index into proper quantity. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an input part 200 for inputting a document to be an object to prepare the index, a dividing part 201 for dividing the document inputted by the input part 200 into sub-documents for each prescribed length, an extracting part 203 for extracting only the prescribed pieces of appearance position information of the word or phrase to be the index for each sub-document divided by the dividing part 201, a generation part 204 for preparing the index on the basis of the appearance position information of the word or phrase extracted by the extracting part 203 and an output part 205 for outputting the index prepared by the generation part 204. |
