PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor having a protector of structure wherein two or more of cylindrical parts are overlappedly arranged, capable of easily aligning the cylindrical parts in their circumferential directions, and capable of facilitating assembling work therefor. SOLUTION: This gas sensor 1 has protector 100 of double structure, and an engaging protrusion 51 formed in an inner circumferential face of the first cylindrical part 101 is engaged each other with a groove part 50 formed in an outer circumferential face of the second cylindrical part 102, when the second cylindrical part 102 located insides is inserted into the first cylindrical part 101 located outsides at the time of assembling work of the protector 100. Circumferential-directional positioning work for the second cylindrical part 102 and the first cylindrical part 101 is facilitated. For example, even when circumferential-directional gas-flowing hole groups 103, 104 formed in the respective cylindrical parts 101, 102 are arranged to be shifted each other, the cylindrical parts 101, 102 are easily positioned and held fast. The assembling workability for the protector 100 is thus enhanced. |
