An apparatus comprises digital data processing electronic circuitry based on self-timed elements. Moreover, it comprises a buffer that is connected either to the input or to the output of said circuitry. A filling degree signal from the buffer is fed back to a control input of a powering voltage controller. In this way the powering voltage is adjusted in such a way that the buffer tends not to fill and neither becomes empty.
